Life In The Sun

SO a busy life and a serious lack of motivation has let to some serious blog neglect. but this is me, would you expect anything less?

I have just been working alot, and have seriously lagged on the lunch time chronicals also. i think i am going to stop that for a little while, purely for the lack of commitment and motivation. i might pick it back up again at some point. But for now, it has been veto-ed.

Last week i went to this awesome conference with the IABA it was all about controlling behaviours of our disabled clients, and i must say it was very informative. It opened my eyes to alot of different ways to deal with situations at work.

As fr recently, i have been trying to dance alot. I had an absolute ball at the lindy lo9unge last night, lots of dancing was had and i am starting to feel more and more apart of the group which is nice. Then Jen, Ro-anna and myself all went to the pancake kitchen for pancakes… YUM! Havent been there is so long. i forgot how goo they were I did so much eating yesterday though, i really do need to try and cut back on the junk food. Oh and the reasoning for lots of dancing is i am auditioning for a swing performance team on monday hopefully i’ll get in, cos it sounds like a lot of fun! Hope im good enough!

You are all probably wondering about the third of october. For those of you who know me or have been following my blog for a while, you would already know this, but for those who have no idea…. the third once upon a time would have been my wedding day to John. I was a little upset becasue alot of my girlfriends who promised to come out and party with me completely vanished, but benji understood how big it was and i ended up going out with him, andrada, adrienne and my little bro andrew and we had a massive night. it was so much fun. We went everywhere and just messed around.  It was a good night and i think we celebrated different pathways, or my “un-wedding day” quite well. I’ll post the photos up in the album, they are all seriously amusing!

That morning i also had a photo shoot with Tim so i could finally start up my portfolio I havent go them back yeat, but when i do i shall post them up, hopefully they will turn out as good as i think they will.

Today i am just bumming around the house. i have a serious case of lazy going on. i am totally un motivated to do anything. Which is bad cos my dog really wants a walk. I may have to walk some of my mums banana muffins over to meatballs That seems like a nice thing to do i think.

So for the first time in years i finally got to actually go to the show and enjoy it, instead of dreading it for its seriously long and craptacular work hours. Benji took me both thursday and friday night and we had a ball We ran into jinda and kelly on the thursday night, which was good cos i was still slightly hung over from the night before and ben needed someone to go on rides with. And Jinda won me a giant panda and i got a sexy new hand ba as well, which was nice, because i have been wanting something to replace my pink playboy one for a while now. Much fun and junk food was had by all, we had a great time

The wednesday night (also the reason for my hang over) was wicked as, Me and Dale got dressed up for the rockstar theme, i think we looked a bit sexy. here we are -

We partied all night and then i for some reason decided to sleep on the floor in the lounge room under the table. Oh to understand my drunken mind :S

Then last night was the lindy lounge and as always i was there dancing. I arrived late though because after the show i dropped ben into cushdy to start work, and somehow got conned into making pancakes for him and eddie. and that was ok, but it seriously cut into my nanna nap time so i went home to change, and fell asleep by accident! So i didnt get to lindy till like 10 but for some startge reason i was seriously hyper active, like i had eaten a whole lot of sugar, which strangely enough – for once i hadnt :S I swear i must have had a target on my back or something because all my leads kept running me into people :S it was bizare.

Well that has been my weekend thus far, its been quite lovely really. The warmer weather is finally starting to come through, although there is a strong wind in the air too, its just gorgeous. I love this weather. Bring on summer

Well these past few days have been a little busy, but a first hand account is coming straight at ya! So wednesday i worked, nothing to interestering about that. Then come 8pm i headed for the airport to pick up my dearest benji! Oh how i missed him. It was quite random, as it turns out he was on the same plane as my uncle, but the two of them never got the chance to meet because adrian got of the plane first, and as always was in too much of a hurry to have too much to do with me. When benji got off the plane it was soo good to see him, i felt like a little school girl getting all excited and what have you. He got me the cutest little presents, they were two little stuffed toy dogs, but they look like my two dogs at home so they have been named bella and jack!

So come that night we got all dressed up and headed for flashdance as it was school dissco night and also the first week of uni holidays – it was packed! Just about everyone came – jada,carla, annie, ben, adrianne, DJ, roberto, charlie, emilie, corey…. we had so much fun! Just dancing and drinking and running a muck. So after going getting up super early to drop benji off at the airport yesterday morning, then having dinner with my parents that night i had decided i wasnt going to go to town last night. So low and behold come midnight i find myself getting dressed and being draggend to town by Jinda and elicia. A few glasses of wine and a whole heap of shots later we end up at the Mars bar ( which is the local gay club – go figure since all three of us are straigh). After that we decided we needed some RnB to dance too, and since eskobar wouldnt let JInda in and red square was already at capacity, Isobar it was! I have not been to that place since i was about 16 and it was dark and sleazy…. not much has changed, but gosh we had so much fun! We spent the night dancing around like idiots and then some how it was 5am and jinda was putting me in a taxi so he could go get a few hours sleep before work (yes the poor boy had to work at 9am today – ouch!). But no, i didnt want to sleep and spent the next hour having random drunken conversations on facebook with people i hardly ever speak to. It was definately an interesting night! So last night i had a blast, but as things tend to go, i discovered a little too late that wearing a stick on sillicone bra (also known as chicken fillets) to go swing dancing in was not the brightest idea i have ever had. See i forgot the one important element – when you dance, you get hot, and when you get hot you sweat. So low and behold i get on the floor and get my groove on, me and joe (my dance partner) are right in the middle busting out some killer moves, he swings me out with some serious force behind it and *POP* out comes sarahs boobs as the chicken fillets come out of my lovely backless dress and fly across the dance floor. It was not my brightest hour i must admit. Everyone was in hysterics, and i was left to grab the silly things and run out to the back store room to try put myself back together. In hind sight it was rather funny though

Now of course the reason i was dressed as marylin munroe in a skimpy little white dress to begin with – The costume party. Fortunately the chicken fillet incedent was my last dance  so i made my swift exit from cushdy before jumping in a taxi and heading for the bay. When i got there everyone was already smashed (it was to be expected, this was a hospitality party, and we all know they party harder than anyone else because you have to be crazy to work in hospitality), and burning it up on the dance floor. Much more dancing and drinking was to be had, and then Jake decided to sart being sick. That was fun. Me being the lovely angel that i am offered to take him home cos he could hardly stand, but the rest of the boys didnt feel like ending the fun just yet. Much stumbling around, i love yous, more throwing up from jake, funny looks from strangers and a walk through the Macca’s drive through later, my darling benji picked us up and took us all home. And after all taht, i had to be up at 6am to take Benji to the airport, he is going to sydney for some space thing. He’s so smart! Well i’m off to have a little snooze my darlings.
